Shutterfly Holiday Cards

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas holiday is receiving Christmas cards from friends and family that I have lost touch with throughout the year. Last year was my first year to actually send out my own cards and I am excited to get started again this year.

It was a no brainer when I decided to use Shutterfly for my Christmas cards. I had ordered my little girls birth announcements from the sight and loved the finished product. The most difficult part was choosing a design layout since Shutterfly has so many options.

If you don't remember my card from last year here is a snapshot for you :)

This template was fairly simple but you can find a ton of other designs here:

I loved how easy the website was to use and I received my cards so quickly! This year I have been looking into making an actual holiday card and have been browsing through the following designs:

And while I am creating the perfect holiday card I may just have to create a photo calendar to give as gifts (and possibly even keep one for myself) :

Good luck with your holiday cards this season :) I definitely recommend trying out the Shutterfly website if you haven't already! Also, if you want to learn how to get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly.....apply here:

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We woke up to a lot of snow this morning! I am not quite sure if I am ready for it but I did take advatage of the warmer weather and took Liv outside. She loved it and had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures :)

Having fun!

Flower Hair Clippies

I finally decided to try making the super cute hair clips I found on this blog. I did change the tutorial up some. Instead of snap clips I used these aligator clips that I wrapped with ribbon:

I also used a button to tie all of the layers together instead of gluing each layer like the tutorial. Here is the finished result:

And the only decent picture my model allowed me to take (of course she was busy coloring and had no time for photos):

It is not perfect but it is a start!

Alivia's Book of ABC's

This past January I received a free photobook via Shutterfly that I had to take advantage of. I had seen a lot of Photo ABC books made for children and was dying to try it out myself. I gave the first book to Liv as her Valentine's Day gift. We read it so much that the pages actually started to fall out. So I decided to order another one tonight! Here is a glimpse at my share site if you are interested :)

Mobiles, Mobiles, Mobiles

A little over a year ago my sister made Liv a mobile to go in her room. It was gorgeous and received so many compliments! So we decided to try our luck on Etsy.com. Now it seems like a lot of my crafting time is spent making mobiles. A good thing except my project to do list keeps getting longer and longer! This is a photo of the mobile I was working on tonight:

1 down.....more to go!

If you want to see more check out our site Liv's Lullaby . The entire Etsy website is addicting so don't say that I didn't warn you ;)

Rain Rain Go Away!

For the last two weekends we have gotten a lot of rain. Unfortuanately that has ruined a lot of plans! I could say that I am upset about this but in reality it has given me some much needed time at home and time to do some things I have put on hold for a LONG time! This past Friday was my last day off as a part-time working momma and I didn't let the day go to waste. Liv and I headed out for the day to run errands and stopped by Hobby Lobby  for supplies to put a dent in my endless "To Do" list. After our trip I was finally able to finish up Liv's Fall hat. I think it took me longer to make the flower than it did to actually make the hat. The plan is to make more flowers/designs to "button" on. Although I haven't crocheted in a long time I am still proud of how it turned out :) I will try and get some pics of my beautiful little girl wearing the hat. That is if she will keep it on for more than 5 seconds :)
